Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our sessions are primarily conducted online, as this format offers flexibility, privacy, and ease of access while maintaining the depth and quality of the therapeutic work. If you prefer in-person sessions in Nairobi, these can be arranged for an additional fee to cover the cost of the therapy space.

  • This depends on your unique journey, pace of healing, and what you're working through. We can begin with whatever feels most important to you right now, and as we progress, we will check in and adjust our work together in a way that feels supportive and meaningful for you.

  • We recommend weekly sessions to support steady progress.

  • Yes. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm whether your sessions are eligible for reimbursement. Payment is made upfront, and you can provide us with a claim form to complete for submission to your insurer.

  • We require at least 24 hours’ notice for session cancellations or rescheduling. If you’re unable to attend a session, please let us know in advance as sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.

  • Yes. We work with clients across different time zones and do our best to offer session times that are convenient for you. While we operate on East African Time (EAT), we’re happy to find a mutually suitable time when possible.

  • Most sessions are attended together. Occasionally, individual sessions may be recommended to support the overall progress.

  • That’s very common. You’re welcome to begin individually. In systemic therapy, relationships are understood as dynamic systems; so even if your partner doesn’t attend, shifts in your awareness, responses, and patterns can meaningfully influence the relationship.
